Biography:

Andrew Baldwin is currently a Senior Lecturer in Human Geography, Durham University, Co-Director of the Institute for Hazard, Risk and Resilience, and Chair of COST Action IS1101 Climate change and migration: knowledge, law and policy, and theory (2011-2015). His research addresses the political and cultural theoretical dimension of climate change and migration, with an emphasis on categories of 'race', power, gender, sovereignty and human survival. Dr Baldwin is currently working towards a theory of power that can account for the politics and ethics of migration as object of concern in the context of climate change.
