Policy Analyst at RAND Europe


Barbara Janta is a Policy Analyst at RAND Europe. Her main thematic expertise spans across areas of labour migration, migration and employment policies, and aspects related to reconciliation of work and private life. Barbara has recently led a study on a socio-economic inclusion of EU migrant workers in the UK for European Commission DG EMPL and contributed to a study for Bureau of European Policy Advisors on future challenges in the European labour market and employment, focusing on vulnerable individuals (e.g. migrants). As part of the European Platform for Investing in Children (EC DG EMPL project), she is currently finalising a policy brief on education of migrant children in Europe. Previously, she was involved in a study examining migration and integration trends of migrant women workers in Europe.

Barbara is currently undertaking a PhD study at the Institute for Employment Research at the University of Warwick focusing on labour migrants and their settlement plans in the UK. She holds an MPhil in Modern Society and Global Transformations from the University of Cambridge and has a double MA from the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, Poland.
