Research Interests
- Interested in how ideas of the state travel between different contexts, and in examining practices of state-building, and the way in which returning displaced peoples and refugees (in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and increasingly elsewhere) adopt ideas and practices of citizenship.
- Empirical research involves long-term fieldwork engagement with international interventions in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This interest spans a series of spatial scales, from the establishment of inter-governmental supervisory bodies, to an exploration of the ways in which ideas of the state are conveyed within communities across the territory of the state.
