Research Interests
- Viking diaspora research, including excavating a Viking stronghold in the Orkneys, using stable isotope analysis of fishbones to plot association with different parts of the Baltic and Atlantic oceans.
- Also working on a project with Norwegian colleagues looking at the archaeology being revealed by glacier melt 2000m up in the Norwegian mountains, addressing questions about the Viking diaspora and climate change.
