Dr Maria Psoinos

Adjunct Psychology Professor at the American College of Thessaloniki


Dr. Maria Psoinos is a Social Psychologist. She holds a PhD and an MPhil in Social Psychology from Cambridge University, UK, and a BSc in Psychology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She has worked as a researcher and lecturer at the University of Cambridge, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, St George’s University of London and Kingston University. She has held Honorary Research Fellowships at Kingston University (2009-2014) and Canterbury Christ Church University (2016-present). She is currently Adjunct Psychology Professor at the American College of Thessaloniki, and a Research fellow at the National School of Public Health, Athens.
Her research expertise is on the psychosocial health of highly skilled migrants and refugees. She has given conference presentations and has published widely in the fields of: migration and psychosocial well-being; interprofessional education and research in social care; qualitative research methodology.
