International Organisation for Migration

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is an inter-governmental organisation committed to the principle that humane and orderly migration benefits both migrants and society.

As the leading global organisation for migration, IOM works with migrants, governments and its partners in the international community to provide humane responses to the growing migration challenges of today.

By promoting international cooperation and dialogue on migration issues, IOM assists in the search for practical solutions to key issues facing migrants and societies alike. The IOM Constitution recognises the link between migration and economic, social and cultural development, as well as to the right of freedom of movement.
